Testimonials & Care

“Julie is a gifted quilter. She made three quilts; along with four pillows for my family in memory of my daddy using his shirts. She scanned in various photos of my dad throughout the quilts. It is a wonderful & beautiful way to keep the memories alive.” - Lori

“My son was killed on 1-28-07 and I wanted something but didn't know what. Julie took some of his baseball and football jerseys and used part of them in the quilt. Then she took some cards he made me when he was young and some pictures I gave her and she scanned these items and used them in the quilt. She also scanned some of his army metals. The quilt is beautiful and very moving and awesome and just not enough words to describe it. I would recommend Julie to anyone. She did an awesome job.” - Bobbi

"Julie has done two memory quilts for me, one for my husband who retired from his law enforcement job after 35 years and one for my daughter with all her soccer jerseys. Julie is currently working on another quilt for me, memory quilt for my daughter with all her camp shirts, drama play shirts, Girl Scout shirts, school shirts and other favorite shirts. Julie does an outstanding job and takes pride in her work. She is concerned with picking just the right material out and works with you on making sure you are pleased with your quilt. She has great ideas about how to design it and shares that design with you for your approval. I love her work and I would highly recommend that you use her to put together a quilt for your loved ones that will last a lifetime and that will cherish your memories in a useful gift." - Judy

Washing your photo quilt:

Your photo quilt will last longer if not subjected to heavy usage or laundering. Therefore, it is best to place photos into a wall hanging or decorative pillow. (Your photo quilt has been colorfast treated.)

Step 1:
Use a damp cloth to wipe dust from photo quilt. If this is not sufficient, proceed to step 2.

Step 2:
Wash by hand or in machine on gentle cycle.
DO NOT USE LAUNDRY DETERGENT!
You MAY use a small amount of fabric softener if soiled.

Step 3:
Remove from wash promptly.
Lay flat to dry.

Step 4:
If the photo or quilt becomes wrinkled or creased -
You MAY press gently - with a hot dry iron.

Displaying your photo quilt:
As with any photo, your photo quilt will last longer if not subjected to direct sunlight. It may fade over time with too much exposure.

Storing your Photo Quilt:
I recommend folding the quilt in places other than the photos themselves. Although you may iron creases from the photos, your photos will last longer the less they are handled. Long term storage and folding of photos may cause difficult to remove creases.

Washing your T-Shirt Quilt:
Wash and dry your t-shirt quilt as usual in the washer and dryer. All fabrics sewn into your quilt are 100% cotton and have been pre-washed and dried to prevent shrinkage once assembled and to prevent running of colors onto your t-shirts.

DO NOT IRON OVER LOGOS ON SHIRTS. MOST ARE MADE FROM RUBBER /PLASTIC AND WILL MELT UNDER HIGH HEAT.
