Initially, I sort the shirts by colors and logos sizes.
I hand sketch a layout or design the layout on my computer which I will email to you for input and approval.
I apply a stabilizer to the back of each logo before cutting to provide body and stability to the shirts.
I sew all your t-shirts together with sashing and borders, called "piecing” to create the "front" of the quilt.
The front is then sent to a “Quilter” to stitch the layers (top, center batting, and backing fabric) together on a very large specialized quilting machine.
At this point, you may elect to have a simple meandering pattern or custom design quilting with different color threads.
Once the layers are sewn together (quilted), I attached the binding (outer edge), the label, and the sleeve for hanging (if a wall hanging).
Once all those steps are done it is yours.
I hope you now have a little better understanding of the process involved in making your quilt - big or small.
It is my pleasure to make your quilt for you and I hope you treasure it always.
